The Great and Powerful Oz turned out to be an ordinary man that used the power of illusion to make himself self seem more powerful than he really was. Over the years of watching Dr.Oz, it is time to give my opinion on his advice. I am in better health thanks to largely following Dr. Oz's advice on healthy living. I use his links often throughout my blog.
When it comes to healthy eating and fitness tips and most other healthy living tips, Dr. Oz is right on. I tried many of the supplements endorsed on the show, that weren't for weight loss and dieting, and I think I'm going to start researching them a bit more. I have used supplements that Dr. Oz mentioned as a "cure"(or something to that effect) and found them a waste of money.
The show is mostly geared toward women. It does offer great advice for the most part that everybody can use. In my opinion, the show has peaked and many have given up on Dr. Oz. I've been finding myself changing to other stations lately and not watching Dr. Oz.
Bottom line is that Dr. Oz has transformed many to live healthier and that is a big plus. Do your own research because Dr. Oz isn't the ultimate authority when it comes to health. Everyone is different and not everything works. Do your own homework!

Life Expectancy
The average life expectancy is 78.6, so how long do you expect to live? Lets start here and work through the plusses and minuses. Surprised me were giving birth to a boy -1 year(I'm shocked that it doesn't specify which parent it applies to so I'll say both) and flossing each day +4 years.
I never heard of the Okinawa Diet so I figured I'd learn more here and here. I wasn't too surprised that being poor is a -5 years, but if you are wealthy and live in Monaco you get +14 years.
For the record, I consume many vegetable and prefer to cook many of them rather than eating them raw. The benefits of say a tomato can only be had when it is cooked, that's why sauces, for example, are more beneficial than your salad tomato.
This study also lacks the male and female factor. So I'll add it and prepare to be surprised. Here is Social Security's take on it and they even give you a calculator. Although women outlived men by as much as 5 years the gap in the United States is narrowing perhaps because women aren't treated for symptoms such as cholesterol and blood pressure. We are just starting to see that symptoms of a heart attack are different in women than men.
Back a few years we wondered why do women outlive men? If you are rich, then men are catching up. Whatever you want to assume, the fact is that men are narrowing the longevity gap with women. My own theory is that the gap has been narrowing since women entered the workforce and in many households they are now the primary breadwinners. They are subjected to poorer diets and work stress in its many forms and pressures.
If you're like me, you don't really want to know what the numbers say about your life expectancy. So reflect on the positive and look for your Real Age and try to improve it. Yes that is a Dr. Oz and Dr. Rozien website. I knew it before I even knew Dr Oz!

9) Foods For Health
When it comes to nutrition, a healthy diet(meaning the foods you eat, not weight loss) isn't as tasteless and boring as it was years ago. Today you can cook, season, and combine a variety of healthy foods to taste delicious.
The World's Healthiest Foods website is an informative reference for all healthy foods. It has useful resources for healthy cooking and healthy eating.
The one thing one should learn to do when it comes to food is to learn how to read a Food Nutrition Labels. Everything has to be taken into consideration such as servings and ingredients, because there are loopholes in disguising what you don't want.
One may assume that peanut butter is a totally great health food. Some are more healthy than others and here is where the label and ingredients come in. Look at this peanut butter. It claims 0 Trans Fats in a serving size of 2 Tbls. This is enough for one slice of bread. My guess is that people tend to use more than one serving size. It has 190 calories per serving and 130 come from Fat. Although the label claims 0 Trans Fats the ingredients contain: HYDROGENATED VEGETABLE OILS (RAPESEED AND SOYBEAN).
This is what Trans Fat is made of. How do they get away with it? A serving may be borderline on Trans Fats and they don't have to claim there are any in there. Although it contains sugar, the powder you mix with water PB2 is a much healthier choice.
